Camping over Fall Break

We went camping last weekend. Real camping, with a tent and sleeping bags. We cooked on a portable stove and over the fire pit, the boys peed in the woods. Thankfully, there were vault toilets that were clean for me! We went for some really nice walks and enjoyed our time together. It was really cold up there and the camp host told us it snowed the day before. I am so glad we did this and we had lots of fun. I see more camping in our future! Here are a few photos from the trip!

Your dad and I have lots and lots of wonderful memories of our camping trips when we were growing up. I miss it terribly now. (It’s the one bad thing about not having a husband.) Enjoy these days because you are building memories for your boys (and YOU!) to cherish all their lives.

Another bad thing is getting too old. Go while you are able. Great memories are made of this. I’m sure you will never forget Sacajawea’s grave. (Not sure of the spelling.) Or Navajo Lake.

We were outside of Payson. The campground was called Ponderosa.

I think we’ve picnicked up there, but never camped. Looks pleasant!

I love the next to the last picture, the way Carsten is looking up at his big brother.
