New Summer Toy

We got a 10′ x 30″ above ground pool to use this summer. Last year we used a hard play pool. It was cramped then and the boys are a year older. We set it up this afternoon and then went for a swim. It feels so nice to be typing with cool skin and damp hair. Here are a few pictures of our first swim.

We got one of those one year. I didn’t get the ground level enough and it kept emptying but it looks like you’ve got it perfect. That will be so nice to jump into when it’s hot outside.

And when in Phoenix is it not hot in the summer. We have just set a record for the most days above 100 in May–not a record anyone was happy about. Hegs: I wish you had the current weather on your blog the way you used to. That was my way of keeping track of whether I should start for the grocery store on my scooter, or wait another day, and go earlier in the morning. We don’t have the Weather Channel.

    Your pool looks like fun.

The theme I had been using didn’t support widgets. There are many reasons I don’t like the previous theme but GG your comment pushed me to change!

Who took the middle picture? I can’t tell which boy is not in the photo since I can’t enlarge it.

    Cool! (Literally!)

The self timer did. Camden is in front of me and you can just see Carsten’s head behind me.

Cool! What is the diameter of the pool? Is it inflatable? Does it have a pump and filter?

It is 10 feet in diameter, 30 inches deep. The top solid blue ring inflates and floats on top of the water. The walls are a thick vinyl material. It does have a pump and filter. We run it every night for about 2 and 1/2 hours.
