February Sickies

I have decided that Feb is the month when we all get the most illnesses. I started with strep and then Camden got it, shortly after that Carsten got what might be strep, then Camden’s came back. I now have a cold and Mark broke his finger. They joys of Feb!

We are all feeling pretty good today and plan to head out to the Renaissance Festival for a few hours later today. We all hung out in bed and on the couches yesterday so we are going a little stir crazy. Both boys are on antibiotics so hopefully it will be ok. I will try to post pictures later!

We did go to the Ren. Fest. and had a good time. Carsten missed his nap and something in the air really made him cough. The boys did not love it, but did have some fun making their own candles, sword fighting, and watching the joust. Here are some pictures:

I’m sorry you all are sick, but I’m glad that I didn’t see you this week; I don’t need what you have. So far this winter, I’ve managed not to get any upper respiratory infections, and I would love to keep it that way.
Did any of you end up with asthma? I know that you thank me for passing that gene on; I really didn’t mean to.
I hope everyone is well when the rest of the family arrives. It looks as though Dick and Dianna, your Dad and maybe Betty (if her job says she can come), and Eric and Joc, may all be here at the same time. That would be nice. Oh, of course Liam, too. He’s the one we are all waiting to see.

I’ve only been to the Renaissance Festival one time (Robin and I went years ago) and it was raining. The bread bowl soups sure tasted good. I should go again. It does look like fun.

We went a few years ago while we were here. We had been to the one in Houston and it was similar. Something different and fun. Yesterday we came past on our way into Mesa and traffic was a mess.
