Stop and Listen

I have been consciously stopping what I am doing to listen to Carsten. He has been talking so much! He has been getting quite creative with the stories he tells using words, gestures, sound effects and motions. It is so sweet! He has even been making up his own songs and signing them for us at the dinner table. He has the sweetest voice and I love the way he says “Yes!”

Our New York trip is right around the corner! We can’t wait. While Ken is feeling better and doing well, the stress of traveling would be too much. He and my mom will not be joining us on our trip. I will post lots of stories and pictures about our adventures in The Big Apple!

I know that your mom and Ken are disappointed that they can’t go with you. They will just have to make their trip by themselves when he is stronger. I have a feeling that he is making the right decision.

I wish I could hear Carsten talking. When you get home, maybe we can get together.

I’m so excited about Carsten. I figured he would start talking (just like Brian did) and show everyone he just has his own timetable.

Glad to hear Ken is so much better, and I hope his recovery continues strong. I’m so sorry he and Wanda won’t be able to make the trip with you. I’m sure their hearts will be there with you and they’ll be very excited to get a full report (with pictures) on all the fabulous adventures you have in store.

We’re all looking forward to your travel blog, so post as often as you can.

I’m sorry to hear your Mom and Ken won’t be going to NY but you’ll have lots of fun. I spent one day there by myself and enjoyed it so I’m sure you’ll all have a great time. I’m sure Ken will feel up to your next family trip where ever that might be.
