Good night sleep!

Carsten used to be a great sleeper. We would do our routine and he would put himself to sleep. Since moving the big boy bed in things have gotten progressively more difficult when it is nap/bed time. He cries and gets out of bed (10-20 times each night). Last night I was done and said he was going back to his little bed (crib). He fussed for a minute and they I gave him kisses and walked out the door. He is still asleep at 6:45am. He would have normally been up by now. I almost had Mark dismantle the crib this weekend. I am so glad he didn’t. We might use it from time to time. I am not in a hurry to get him out of the crib, the big bed was just a great opportunity we couldn’t let pass us up. We will take each day as it comes and he will sleep where he sleeps!

I can’t remember which generation it was, or which child, but one morning when someone got up, one of the kids was sleeping outside their bedroom door on the floor. I know that is not a very clear statement, but I know it happened to one of you. My poor brain is so full of “tidbits” that sometimes only parts of the event come through.

He started last night in his big boy bed, Mark laid down with him till he fell asleep. That is a habit we are trying to avoid. Then when he woke up at 12 am I gave it another shot, but he kept getting up so I put him in his crib. He slept till about 6:30am.

Fascinating that he prefers or, obviously, feels more secure in his crib than a bed. Kids sure are unique and have their own agendas.

our crib changes into a toddler bed, then a head board. So, he can keep it forever if he wants.

Ours does a toddler bed and a junior bed, but we have only used it as a crib.
