Family Bike Ride

We took our first official family bike ride this morning. Gamma Tucson and Papa Ken got Camden a bike for Christmas, and Mark and I picked up a couple of gently used beach cruisers from Craig’s List. The men’s bike came with a baby seat. We all have helmets and after replacing a tire on Mark’s bike we were ready! It was fun, and short, but with Camden’s pedaling it is slow going. I haven’t ridden a bike in ages so it took me a few minutes to get the hang out it. We really enjoyed it and I anticipate many more to come!

On Glenda’s and my trip to San Diego a couple years ago, we rented bikes and rode along the beach front boardwalk. It was a lot of fun! If it weren’t so hot and traffic-y around here, I might consider getting one for myself.

Sounds like fun for the kids. How did Carsten like it?

If we tie Apollo to Camden’s bike he will be way out ahead of all of you! Camden might have a little trouble controlling him, though.

Carsten enjoyed the ride. We just have to teach him not to kick or push dad while riding. I think attaching Apollo would be very funny, but I am pretty sure Camden would never ride again!

ohhhhhh…. They miss the doggy sledding… If the boys ever come up here we’ll have to do that. Put the kids in a sled attached to a dog. Then call the dog to run across a snowy field or frozen lake. Apollo would enjoy that too…

Are you getting batteries? I would love to see the boys on a bike ride.
