Happy Halloween

We have a fun day planned, including a Halloween Costume Party and Trick or Treating with The Reed’s. Camden is Thomas The Tank Engine. And a cute one indeed! Nathan is going to be Bob the Builder, and Lauren is going to be a doctor. I will post photos in our gallery either tonight or tomorrow!

17 Weeks Today

I am 17 weeks pregnant today. Everything has been going well. I am not nauseous anymore, and my headaches have become less frequent. Camden loves my belly and talks about the baby. I have added 2 belly pictures to our gallery

If you dare to view them, they are located in the Baby Balch album in our gallery. I opted to not post the bare skin, to many war stripes from Camden :).

Tears of Joy

I was getting Camden ready for his nap and changing his diaper. I asked if he wanted to sleep in his big boy bed, and he said, “Big bed!” So we snuggled him up in his big boy bed, but I left the door to his crib open so he could climb in if he wanted. When I went back to check on him, he was sound asleep in his Big Boy Bed. So I cried.

New Doc

I had an OB appointment today with my new doctor. The first doctor I chose, decided to stop delivering babies in Oct. So I have a new doctor, and I just love her!

Everything is going smoothly and I am feeling good. I will be going for my 20 week ultrasound in about 4 weeks.

A Great Vacation!

We are back from our exciting vacation in beautiful Carlsbad, CA. We had a truly great time! Below I will summarize what we did each day. I will add some pics to the gallery later today, so check back.

Sunday
– We left Mark’s parents house about 9:30. We made one long stop to allow Camden to play a bit. He was very good in the car. After we arrived and checked in, we headed down to the beach. We tried to see the sunset, but it was very cloudy. Camden enjoyed the sand, but not the water.

Monday
– Legoland- We met Brian, Carrie and Nathan there and had a blast all day.

Tuesday– Sea World- We met Brian, Carrie, Nathan, and Donna (Brian’s Mom) there and really had a fun day! Camden really enjoyed the animals. We sat in the splash zone at all the events, but only got really wet at the dolphin show. Camden loved “Shampoo” or as most of us know him, Shamu!

Wednesday– The Beach- It took some time, but Camden finally warmed up to the water. Once he did, we couldn’t keep him out of it. We played in the sand, making a race track with 2 underground tunnels, and Gma and Gpa built him a plane out of sand, big enough for him to sit in. We had dinner and a yummy resturant called King’s Fish House.

Thursday– Shopping/Golf- The boys played golf, while we went shopping. We went to the outlet mall, and then after lunch we went down to the Village of Carlsbad. Not much spending, more window shopping.

Friday– Wild Animal Park- This was very cool. Of course, it was the hottest place in the area at 95 º. We rode on a train around the park and we were able to see many different animals. We did a lot of walking and we were very tired by the end of the day.

Saturday– Balboa Park- We spent a lazy morning around the timeshare. It was cold and cloudy. We had hoped to make it to the beach again, but the weather did not agree. We did watch the surfers for awhile. We met up with my Dad and Betty at The Fish Market for lunch. Another yummy meal. (It turns out we have one in Phoenix, it is along the 51.) After lunch we went down to Balboa Park. We went to the Aerospace Museum (Camden slept through the whole thing) and the Science Center. The Science Center was mostly hands on and Camden loved it! At about 5:30 we said goodbye to my Dad and Betty (they had a 3 hour drive home) and we headed “back to the room” (another phrase Camden used a lot this week).

Sunday– We drove home.

So as you can see we all had a VERY good time.
