ER Visit

We took Camden to the ER at 2:30 this morning. He had been vomiting since 7pm, and had not been to the bathroom in several hours. Instead of trying a nearby hospital and waiting hour after hour, we drove the 45 min to Phx Children’s. We were in a room in 20 min. and on our way home a little over 3 hours later. It was WELL worth the drive.

Turns out he has a stomach flu. He was not dehydrated, so no IV fluids were needed. They did give him Zofran for the vomiting. By the time we left he was a new boy!

This morning was a bit rough. Nothing made him happy, even when he was asking for it. I am tired, Mark is tired, Camden is feeling much better. He is eating Mac N Cheese. His first meal of the day.

I guess that is about it for now.

The Circle of Life

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of my maternal Grandfather’s (Henry Bailey) passing. He joined the Lord on Mon. Jan 23rd at 5:30pm EST. He had been struggling with recovery of several strokes recently.

Thankfully, the whole “Bailey” family made it to New York for Thanksgiving just a few months ago. We were able to spend some time together. Grandpa will be missed by all.

It is my prayer that our family in New York finds comfort from the Lord during this time of grief.

Carsten’s Room

After many hours of painting, Carsten’s room is almost complete! Mark’s mom painted the stripes on the wall and made the valance and quilt. Mark and his dad put up the chair rail and my mom got most of the accessories from Pottery Barn Kids.

We are so happy with the way it came out!

Belly Masterpiece

We began to paint Carsten’s room and Camden wanted to paint too. So we set up water colors so he could paint. After one crazy idea, we (the whole family) created this masterpeice!

New year….

means new everything! We are trying to get organized this month. Boy are we pack rats! I am stressing over cupboard space for Cartsen’s things and Mark kindly points out that we don’t need 15 travel coffee mugs (since I don’t work anymore) and the miss-matched glasses he had before we got married could go too! Thank heavens that someone can say, “It is ok to get rid of it!”

We made a trip to IKEA (just love that store) and we got some wall shelves for our room to help with the clutter of books everywhere. I have also organized the medicine cabinet and the utensil drawer.

Only 12 weeks until our family expands! We are getting very excited!
